I Am Sick of Silence While Israel Is Targeted
If history teaches us anything, it is this: silence is never neutral. Silence always sides with the aggressor. And Jews and those who stand with Israel have paid the price of silence before.
I am sick and tired of humanity. 2026, or is it 1939 all over again?
Another job interview canceled. Not after a lack of qualifications. Not after a bad conversation. But after one question: “We saw your company page… Time to Stand Up for Israel.” Coincidence? I don’t believe in coincidences anymore.
I am sick and tired of the hypocrisy. Of people who shout about diversity, inclusion, and freedom, until your opinion doesn’t fit their approved narrative. Then suddenly, discrimination becomes “understandable,” threats become “context,” and silencing becomes “safety.”
I am sick and tired of being told to hide. Hide my ties to Israel. Hide my advocacy. Hide Jewish and Israeli symbols. Hide who I am, so others can feel comfortable hating.
And what makes it worse? You are not allowed to criticize the other side. You are not allowed to point at incitement, terror, oppression, or antisemitism, because that would make you the problem. Something is fundamentally broken in a world where Jews must erase themselves to survive socially and professionally.
I used to be optimistic. Truly. I was never depressed. Yes, I have a temper, but I could laugh. I believed that facts mattered. That morality mattered. That standing up for what is right would eventually be rewarded.
Today, I receive threats because of an opinion. Today, I doubt the value of life in a world where authenticity is punished. Today, I feel like an alien.
And I am also sick and tired of disappointment, from people I trusted, from allies who promised support and vanished when it actually counted. Israelis who say, “We’ll help,” and then remain silent. Pro-Israel groups that talk about unity while acting like isolated islands: everyone for themselves, and God for us all.
Look at the world around us. Iranian citizens are risking their lives in the streets, protesting an oppressive regime that crushes dissent. Is that really the kind of world we want to excuse, justify, or romanticize? Meanwhile, Western democracies flirt with moral collapse, where shouting slogans replaces thinking, and intimidation replaces debate. Add to that reckless leadership on the global stage, narcissism dressed up as salvation, and the result is chaos.
No, this is not normal. And it is not acceptable.
But Here Is the Turning Point
Because staying in despair is exactly what our enemies want.
If history teaches us anything, it is this: silence is never neutral. Silence always sides with the aggressor. And Jews and those who stand with Israel have paid the price of silence before.
So how do we change this bad situation?
1. Stop Apologizing for Existing
Pro-Israel voices must stop explaining themselves as if they are guilty by default. Supporting Israel’s right to exist, to defend itself, and to protect its citizens is not extremism, it is basic morality. We must speak clearly, confidently, and without shame.
2. Build Real Unity, Not Performative Alliances
The pro-Israel world does not need more logos or ego-driven initiatives. It needs coordination, trust, and shared strategy. Less competition. More cooperation. If we don’t stand together, we will continue to fall separately.
3. Name Antisemitism…Every Time
Whether it comes from the far left, the far right, or Islamist ideology, antisemitism must be called out without fear. Disguising it as “criticism of Israel” has gone on long enough. Words matter. Lies must be confronted.
4. Support the Brave, Practically
Not just with likes and kind messages, but with actions: job networks, legal support, security advice, media amplification. People who risk their careers and safety for truth should never stand alone.
5. Reclaim Moral Clarity
Israel is not perfect. No democracy is. But Israel is fighting forces that glorify death, oppression, and terror. Moral equivalence between a democracy and genocidal movements is intellectual dishonesty and it must be challenged relentlessly.
I am sick and tired, yes. But I am not done.
If this feels like 1939 to you, then act like you know how that story ends when good people stay silent. Speak. Write. Organize. Protect each other.
Because hiding has never saved us. And silence has never been the answer
