Israel’s Goodness the World Refuses to See
Israel is one of the most extraordinary countries ever to exist. A place where the moral clarity of the West blends with the warmth, passion, and soul of the East. A nation powered by the creativity, resilience, intelligence and ancient wisdom of the Jewish people. And yet, despite all this, Israel is also the country most unfairly hated, misrepresented, and envied.
Envy.
Because what else explains the irrational obsession, the rewriting of history, the blind rage, the endless double standards?
A small nation, barely the size of New Jersey, built in the middle of a hostile region, flourishing beyond imagination. A desert turned into orchards and vineyards. A country where Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, Bedouin, and countless cultures live and build side-by-side. A state that contributes medical breakthroughs, humanitarian aid, technological miracles, and life-saving innovations to the very people who deny its right to exist.
If hatred for Israel were based on facts, it would evaporate the moment someone sets foot in the land. Because the truth of Israel is the opposite of the narrative shouted by those who have never been there.
I know this truth. I have walked Israel’s streets. I have breathed her air. I have watched strangers become family, enemies become neighbors, and desert become paradise.
And perhaps, just perhaps, Israel is hated because she is loved. Because she is admirable. Because she is different. Because she is special.
A Country of Sun, Spirit, and Surprising Unity
Israel is a country of light, literally and metaphorically. A land where the desert blooms, where innovation rises, and where hope is not a slogan but a daily habit.
Every time I arrive in Israel, joy fills my heart. Every time I leave, sadness follows me like a shadow.
I have walked through kibbutzim such as Kibbutz Nir David, where nature wraps around you like a warm blanket. I have stayed in places like the Crown Sea Hostel in Tel Aviv, a simple yet vibrant place near the shimmering Mediterranean coast. Inside that hostel, I saw the true face of Israel:
People from every corner of the world, Americans, Russians, Europeans, South Americans, sharing stories, laughing, discovering a country they were previously warned against.
And then, there was Abu Lafia.
An Arab Millionaire in Tel Aviv—So Much for ‘Apartheid’
One of the most striking encounters was with Abu Lafia, an Arab real-estate owner who owns large parts of the district and runs the legendary bakery in Jaffa.
A multi-millionaire.
A respected community figure.
A man welcomed by the Jewish owners and visitors alike.
When a Russian guest and I visited his bakery, he immediately gave us free bread and drinks, a gesture symbolizing the generosity and coexistence that flourishes in Israel every single day.
Jews and Arabs working, living, laughing, and building together.
Nothing forced.
Nothing staged.
How can anyone repeat the lie that Israel is an apartheid state when this is the daily reality?
If the haters could see what I saw, their worldview would collapse instantly.
The Transformation of the Misled
I remember asking newcomers in the hostel what they expected before arriving. Most had no strong opinion, only fear fed to them by relatives, media, or vague warnings about “danger.”
One American man from Texas, Jewish, left-wing, and proudly anti-Israel, came to the country hiding the very reason for his trip. He didn’t want anyone to know he was visiting the place he believed was in the wrong.
Within one day, everything changed for him.
He walked through Tel Aviv and saw Jews, Muslims, Christians, secular people, Black, white, Asian, everyone living freely and equally. He saw color, culture, vibrancy; he saw democracy; he saw humanity.
We spoke for an hour.
When the truth about Gaza, Judea & Samaria, and the nature of the “conflict” became clear, tears streamed down his face. He realized he had supported the wrong side his entire life.
He immediately joined Time To Stand Up For Israel, determined to become a voice for truth.
One more person reclaimed from disinformation.
One more voice for justice.
Why Israel Is So Deeply Misunderstood
Because Israel’s goodness threatens the worldview of its haters.
Because its success shames those who choose victimhood instead of building.
Because its innovation exposes the corruption and dysfunction of its enemies.
Because its freedom contradicts the propaganda that blankets so much of the world.
And yes, because Israel is simply extraordinary.
A nation of:
- Western ethics: democracy, equality, human rights
- Eastern soul: warmth, community, passion
- Jewish brilliance: knowledge, creativity, memory, resilience
This unique combination makes Israel incomparable and for some, intolerable.
People envy what they cannot destroy.
They hate what they cannot become.
The Solution: Bring People to Israel
Walking on the Tel Aviv promenade that night, watching life unfold along the Mediterranean, I realized something powerful:
There is a way to change the world’s perception of Israel.
A simple one.
Bring people here.
Bring the misinformed.
Bring the skeptics.
Bring the ones who only know Israel through screens and headlines.
Let them see.
Let them meet the people.
Let them taste the food, walk the streets, hear the different languages blending together, talk to Arabs, Jews, Christians, secular Israelis, immigrants from Ethiopia, Russia, Morocco, South America, France.
Show them real life, not propaganda.
Such trips could transform millions of people.
It will cost money, yes, but there are many wealthy Israel-supporters in the world who could make this happen.
And I would gladly guide these journeys.
This wouldn’t be political or religious.
Just the truth.
Raw, beautiful, undeniable.
If we could bring the world to Israel, hatred would diminish, lies would fade, and peace would become possible, not through illusion, but through understanding.
My love for Israel is everlasting
Israel is the living proof that beauty can rise from ashes, freedom can thrive under pressure, and diversity can form unity.
It is not perfect, no nation is, but it is good.
Deeply, profoundly good.
Those who truly know Israel, love her.
Those who hate her, simply have never seen her.
If only the haters could see…
they would understand that Israel is not the problem.
Israel is the miracle.
And miracles deserve to be cherished, defended, and told to the world.
My love for Israel is everlasting.
