When Lies Fall, Israel Stands
"From your first word to your last, your trust has passed
After the Gaza flotilla was intercepted on the open sea yet again, combined with the careless and provocative actions of Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, I was genuinely convinced that Israel had finally lost the narrative. In my head, I was already preparing for the downfall of the nation. I found myself checking my own house, wondering where I could harbor Israeli refugees. I was deeply convinced that this was the absolute end.
However, I forgot one fundamental truth: Israel is the Jewish state. Without continuous, unbreakable optimism, the Jewish people would not have lasted through thousands of years of relentless persecutions, pogroms, and existential wars. If they weren’t remarkably smart and visionary, there would not be a single Jew alive today. I looked at these chaotic events with a far too pessimistic view, and that was a massive mistake.
In my panic, I temporarily forgot the reality of the opposition. The radical factions do not produce anything of value in Gaza. The primary things manufactured there are rockets, bomb belts, and intricate plans for terror attacks all over the globe. It is not a very inspirational output, is it?
But there is one specific area where they are incredibly smart: acting and playing psychological games. If “Pallywood” were an official, recognized movie studio, mainstream Western studios like Hollywood would be completely out of work. They expertly remix videos to create entirely fake narratives. They manage to turn every single international event, even a natural disaster like an earthquake in Turkey, into a sob story to gather sympathy for a geopolitical cause. It is a remarkable, albeit deceptive, talent.
But this time, they have blown it. Utterly, totally blown it.
The public consciousness has shifted dramatically. People on the streets are now chanting the definitive truth:
"From your first word to your last, your trust has passed"
Let us look closely at what actually happened. The Gaza flotilla organizers tried the exact same trick for at least the tenth time. They send boats to breach a legal naval blockade, which is an explicit act of war. They carry no actual humanitarian aid on board; the decks are filled only with cameras and activists looking for a fight. After the standard interception by the Israeli Navy, the routine begins. They look shocked, families shed a lot of bitter tears, and they cry that Israel did it again. They claim they are heroes, and the entire globe historically pointed fingers at Israel, lamenting how “cruel” the state treated these flotilla clowns with their teatowels and fake tears.
Yet, Israel never changed its commitment to security. Once again, in international waters, the boats were stopped. This action is fully allowed according to the international maritime laws outlined in the San Remo Manual. The boats were inspected, and the agitators were detained. The last time this happened, when activists like Greta Thunberg were present, they were given delicious sandwiches and processed humanely. After a night or two, they are usually sent home entirely on the expenses of the taxpayers, only to repeat the same repetitive cycle again and again.
This time, however, the optics changed. Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir arrived to witness the Pallywood show himself, waving an Israeli flag and refusing to let the political theater go unchallenged. The agitators were detained, made to comply with security protocols, and listened to the Israeli national anthem, Hatikvah.
The international community predictably reacted with outrage. Israeli ambassadors were summoned worldwide to explain the point of view of Israel. That was the exact moment I feared Israel was lost. And then I remembered history. I remembered how the anti-Israel factions love to play with the boomerang, and how often that boomerang flies right back into their own faces.
In the 1948 War of Independence, Arab armies openly called for the Arab residents in Israel to leave temporarily so they could easily slaughter the Jews. Fortunately for the civilized world, Israel won that war against all impossible odds, and the complex refugee problem was born out of their own failed aggression.
This time, the flotilla activists were sent back within 24 to 48 hours. They immediately tried to twist Israeli history and exploit Israeli pain. They started to recount wild tales to the many cameras waiting like vultures to portray them as innocent victims and Israel as the big aggressor. They claimed with tears in their eyes that they were tortured, abused, and deeply traumatized. They even had the audacity to claim that the temporary detention centers were more horrible than the gas chambers of Auschwitz.
But they forgot one critical detail: the cameras caught them leaving Israel smiling from ear to ear, shouting that Palestine will be free. Yet, the moment they landed in Turkey, they suddenly emerged on stretchers under dramatic medical care, crying and wearing neck collars.
A few minutes later, when they thought the cameras were off and they saw their friends, they completely forgot they were supposed to be acting. They were seen smiling, jumping, walking, and running around in total happiness. If it were not so utterly disgusting, it would be funny.
Furthermore, upon returning to several international airports, these activists showed the world their true colors. They provoked severe, violent riots where local European and Western police forces intervened much harder than Israel ever did.
Back home, they ran into the arms of their parents, attending various talk shows hosted by biased, anti-Israel broadcasters. Even then, I remained terrified for the fate of Israel’s global reputation.
And that was exactly when the boomerang struck with immense severity, signaling a massive downfall for the pro-Palestinian propaganda machine. The lies told by the activists were so incredibly obvious, and the unrest they created on Western streets was so severe, that a shift occurred. Underneath the hundreds of coordinated online cry-posts, suddenly 90 percent of the comments were completely fed up with the theater.
The public realized they were being manipulated. The tables had turned completely, and the global audience adopted the defining slogan:
"From your first word to your last, your trust has passed".
The world saw through the fabrication, the acting, and the unprovoked chaos. Truth prevailed over manufactured drama, and Israel won this battle. Again.
